Easter Sunday With Braised Eggs,mushrooms and chickens

Final Product:Wanton noodle with braised chickens,mushrooms,eggs and fishmaws

A pot of Stew with the final step to put in the fish maws

Simmer chickens,mushrooms,eggs over low heat



Soak a bowl of fish maws


Boiled mushrooms and eggs for over an hour



Happy Happy Easter to everyone! What are you doing on this day? For me, i eaten alot of eggs as EASTER relates to eggs..*wink*wink*

I cooked wanton noodle with braised EASTER eggs,mushrooms,chickens and fish maws.Seriously,it is really nice!!I'm still very full now.I also had chilled sea coconuts with longans.

Erm....let me share the recipe here.
Ingredients: Half Chickens, mushrooms(30 stalks),a bowl of fish maws, eggs(10-20),soysauce,molasses,pepper,salt,g-powder,garlic cloves(10),ginger(8 slices).,wanton noodle
*the ingredients depends on the persons served*

1) Cut the half chickens into small pieces, then marinate with soysauce,salt,pepper. Marinate it for 1 day to have a better taste.

2)soak the mushrooms for few hours, then drain it and marinate with soysauce,pepper,salt for 1 day.

3) boil the eggs to hard boiled eggs and shelved them.

4) soak the fish maws till it soft.

5) Fried the garlic cloves and ginger for a few minutes, then add mushrooms,eggs and add some soysauce,molasses,salt,g-powder and water and let it to boil and simmer for 1hour.

6) After an hour, add in the chickens and leave it fo another 30 minutes and then add in fish maws and simmer for another 5 minutes.

7) cook wanton noodle for 5 minutes and drain it and soak in cold water and the serve on a plate. Then you can add in the braised chickens,eggs,mushrooms broth to be eaten together.

I cooked quite alot.Only for my couz and me. Well, this kind of foods can be kept. It will be nicer to boil it for another few more times. G-powder is a seasonings which made from soy and vegetables. You may get it from organic store. Its a substitution of oyster sauce and msg.Its healthier.Instead of using thick black soy sauce, i used mollases.
