Cofee Bean's Yoghurt Ice Cream

It has been a while that I saw an advertisement banner in front of coffee bean @ Desa Park City  about this yoghurt swirl BUT I didn't really have that urge to try it.

Then, when I met Vivienne Weindel, she told me that the ice-cream is really nice and then we tried to search for it on THE day itself!BUT mission failed! At first, we thought that all Coffee Bean outlets sell it BUT only selected outlets sell yoghurt ice-cream. As far as I know, there are only 2 outlets in Petaling Jaya serve yoghut ice-cream. They are Desa Park City and One Utama.

The first time, I tried original Flavor, Cherry Tart. It is so nice as it is 100% low fat yoghurt. No added sugar and natural. However, there are a selection of fruit flavors like berry licious, promegonate, matcha, coffee, mango, orange and etc. Besides, you can add toppings that you like.

The original flavor is about RM8 for small size. For fruity Flavors, they costs more than RM10 per small up. So far, I have tried promegonate and berry licious too. They are equally tasty. However, it depends on individual taste. So far, all my healthy freak friends love it!

Hope you love it too!:)

Be Lohas Organic Cafe @ Damansara Uptown

This week, i discovered this organic cafe at Damansara Utama. This is rather a small cafe but it is quite packed with diners during lunch hour. The customers are mainly organic vegetarian eaters. So am I! Every time after I had organic vegetarian foods, I feel light, detoxify and clean!:)

Let me introduce this organic cafe, Be Lohas Organic Cafe(you an check more info at Facebook page). The menu is actually quite appealing to me. As you can see, the pictures of the foods look attractive with a lot of colourful vege on them!

This is the interior of the cafe. Organic cafe is usually simple decorated as a step to support wastage! Minimalist is a step to save our earth from thrashed by more garbage. On top if that, most of the organic cafe I visited would surely include green colour in their deco.

The foods that we ordered? This was the first one! This is black sesame drink. This s actually made from a powder form sesame drink. So, for me this is nothing special!

This was the Assam Laksa that I couldn't wait to taste! Everytime I visit a new organic cafe, this is a MUST dish that I would order! Some how not all organic cafe has it as it requires a lot of works to cook this. So, is this nice? I can say NOT BAD but not the best that i have tried so far.Ths costs Rm9.90.

We also ordered this dried noodle which costs RM9.90 too. This is very nice and it is recommended too. The taste is good with a lot of vege and also some soy chunks.

The cabbage soup is an inclusive of dried noodle. Then we ordered a side dish, which is VIETNAMNESE SALAD. This costs Rm7.90. It is such a small size of salad. The taste is superb! taste sweet and sour and with peanut chunks that combine well with the fresh thinly shredded vegetables! This is a special dish which I never get from other organic cafes so far!

We ordered a tofu dish too! It looks nice right? BUT something awful where the tofu was actually sourish!!! So we didn't eat this and we complained to the person in charge and we ended up canceled this order.

Besides that we ordered a chrysanthemum tea in pot too. This is only rm8.90 and hot water is refill able. So it is quite value for money!

p/s: When we arrived at this place, all the workers are not friendly at all! The service which i must SAY is really BAD! When you ask them to take order or asking them questions, they are like very reluctant!

Price wise, it is reasonable for organic foods.
Foods wise, they are edible, very healthy, you don't feel  drop of oil...:)
No harm for trying but hopefully they improve their service!

Maggie & Cain's wedding @ Spring Garden(Tropicana Golf club) 030710

So, Please meet the bride, Maggie Chui! I was very pleased to be one of the guest! For Chinese who get married usually would have a wedding banquet either at chinese restaurant or hotel ballrooms. Chinese would have a tea ceremony during the day time where bride and grroom need to serve tea to parents, senior relatives to get their blessings. The parents and the relatives in return will present the couple with angpows or jewelleries.

Besides tea ceremony, the bride would have bridesmaids( Ji Mui in chinese) and the groom would have his groomsmen(Heng Dai). The groom and his men will come over to Bride's place to fetch the bride and before they manage to do so, the Bridesmaids will have various of games to play with them and also to get red packet from them before allowing them to do so. It is a fun tradition!

Usually, We need to wait for all the guests arrival before we can start the dinner, so people usually take this opportunity to capture pictures with the bride!

So, Here are the shots that have been taken on the night!

Program mes of the night are different as these will be depending on the host! As for this one, magician is hired to entertain the guests.

So now...The dinner is about to start...... This is the same for every wedding dinner! Ladies and Gentlemen...Please give a loud applause to welcome the bride and the groom!!!!

So, they will walk along the re carpet with romantic music and till they settle at the VIP table...Then the foods will start to b served hot on each table!

So, Here is the menu for the dinner. The foods are almost the same in each wedding dinner as Chinese like foods that symbolize good meanings for their marriage.

Let me show you the foods for the night!

Then another MUST program@ Chinese wedding is TOSSING Ceremony whereas the couple and their parents will be on the stage and tossing their champagne with the guests!

Usually the Mc will start the ceremony with a long long winded Yammmmmmmm Sengggggggggggggggggg with the guests..It is believed that the longer it goes, the better it would be....:)

So, what's next?People will continue eating and some stay till the end and some would be leaving early.

For, yesterday case...a lot of people left early as it is World cup fever! Argentina vs Germany! What a match! So people cant miss this!

Then end of the wedding reception, the host will thank the guests at the exit!

Anyway, it was a happy and meaningful day for the couple!Hope they stay together and an everlasting love story!

Have a nice day!

Shanghai Elegance Dinner @ Imperial Garden(30th June2010)

Yesterday was the Shanghai Elegance theme dinner organized by Tai Thong Group Restaurant. It was the first time Tai thong Group giving out free tables for their loyal customers. There were 30 tables altogether. Most of the guests dressed in cheongsam or samfu. It was really a great night with sporting people.
Here were the programmes on the night. The MC is really lively and bubbly. We were really entertained by his comedian character!Thenight started with a speech by Tai Thong Group Financial manager, Mr.Chan and then choosing the bet dressed female and male! Aha, our table Luna got the award!!! We are really proud! She really put efforts in her haid do,make-up and outfit to suit the theme! other programmmes are live band, Q and A session, more....
How about the foods?? At first,by looking to the menu, they don't seem appealing BUT when the foods were served, I totally had different thoughts! They were really good!! The foods are tasty, not too sweet, too salty and too oily! All were TANTALIZING!
Then, we started to capture some nice moments @ this event! Don't the pictures have that kinda of retro feel too??I love the lighting effects...
So, the conclusion is It was a Successful Event for Tai Thong Group and hopefully this kinda event will be continued....Keep it up!
